Taking Planet to the States!

So, to help continue our exam rehearsals we are performing a part of RTTFP in Milwaukee!

We are starting at 'Wipeout' and continuing through, with dialogue to the end of 'Good Vibrations'.

PS Its only 23 days until we are there!
PPS lets do some WWRY!

here are the rehearsal schedules set out for the autumn term so far....

over the summer we agreed everyone would:
- learn their lines
- listen to the recordings lots
- print off their sheet music from the P:drive and practice! The priority is to identify the more difficult parts and spend more time on these.
- start learning new instruments
-Use the blog to communicate

Will Meyer rejoins the PA group! 

Check the updated list of who is playing what on the P:Drive.
Lesson next week will be working on rehearsal schedules on wednesday with a bit of playing.
Thursday will be a shorter lesson because of sports day but we will try and bash through the final medley ('born to be wild' to the end).
Make sure you are familiar with the songs and have looked at your parts.
Remember to try to complete all research tasks by the end of next week as lesson time from september will be focussed on rehearsal.

Homework reminder!!!
summarise the stories of The Tempest, The Forbidden Planet and Return to the Forbidden Planet.
Remember this is your coursework!!!  Use diagrams/flow charts to represent the main points of the story and be sure to identify the main characters.

As you complete this - make sure you start to assemble your folder of work for this unit.  so far you should have:
mind map of what research we need to conduct
detail of story-lines from the three works
annotated script (which we will add to through the process)

how are the works connected?  use a table to highlight similarities between all of the works eg.

the birth of the performing arts blog!

welcome everyone - to the brand new blogspot for performing arts.  The idea is to keep the whole group involved in the exam performance of RTTFP up to date with ideas and rehearsals.  You will be able to post info about edits to scripts and music, videos of work in progress and links to inspiration to characters and staging.
This should also help all those of you doing this for an exam unit towards keeping up to date with lesson logs (not looking at anyone in particular Lewis!)
This is the first blog I have set up so forgive any teething problems - I am learning too!
Remember to listen to the tracks on the P:drive and check out instrumental parts which I have just uploaded.
